This course is a comprehensive guide to developing compassionate self-care skills for busy healthcare professionals. It is written in short sections to make the content easy to digest and it is practical and easy to implement. It can easily be taken over one weekend, although the materials are available for you to return to it again and again. To work through this course you will need a notebook and pen, and for one exercise you will be invited to go for a short walk outside in nature (or on your balcony if that's the only option!).

Nicola is a doctor and Women's Trauma specialist and teacher of Self-Compassion. She has worked in the NHS for over 20 years, as a GP and for Macmillan Cancer Support. She trained with Animas as a transformational coach, and with Kristen Neff and Chris Germer to become a certified teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion. Nicola writes for Lifelabs, the online blogging platform at Psychologies Magazine, and Thrive Global, and she is the co-author of a bestselling book. She dedicates her time to empowering exceptional women to live life courageously with clear boundaries and compassion, through her coaching, courses, and as an inspirational speaker. Nicola lives near Bristol, UK with her husband, two children and a rather lively Labrador.
